Brief Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Streaming QA Lead to build and own our QA strategy from the ground up. You’ll lead the implementation of test automation, CI/CD integration, and best practices that ensure code quality, reduce production issues, and empower our developers to move faster without sacrificing stability. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your work will directly improve developer velocity and product reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and own an end-to-end QA process for our streaming platform
- Develop and maintain automated integration test suites to run on all pull requests
- Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless, continuous validation
- Create clear testing guidance, standards, and best practices for the engineering team
- Manage test cases using tools like TestRail and Xray, ensuring comprehensive coverage
- Collaborate with developers to verify new features and catch regressions before they reach production
- Monitor, analyze, and report on QA metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software QA, with a track record of building or scaling QA processes
- Experience within streaming and live video is highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in Python and automation frameworks such as Pytest
- Solid understanding of Docker, Git, and AWS environments
- Hands-on experience with test case management tools (TestRail, Xray) and CI/CD integration
- Ability to design and execute structured test plans and strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence engineering best practices
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Success in the first 3–6 months:
- Automated integration test suite in place and running on PRs
- Fully integrated CI/CD pipeline executing tests automatically
- Clear, actionable testing guidelines adopted by engineers
- Noticeable improvement in developer velocity and reduction of production/staging breakages
