Senior Data Scientist
As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll work at the intersection of advanced sensing, optics, electronics, and computation, pushing the limits of what can be detected and understood.

You’ll take ownership of the complete data analysis pipeline for our next-generation microscopy platform: from sensor characterization and noise modelling to algorithm development and physical data interpretation. Your goal is to extract robust insights from complex experimental datasets and turn them into smarter instruments, faster measurements, and tangible value for the semiconductor industry.

Your Responsibilities
  • Analyse large and noisy experimental datasets from high-precision microscopes, design robust algorithms, and extract physics-based insights.
  • Develop and validate advanced signal-processing and statistical-analysis methods that enhance the resolution, speed, and robustness of our sensing platform.
  • Design and interpret experiments involving optics, electronics, and digital systems to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable improvements for both hardware and software, working closely with engineering teams to implement them.
  • Mentor junior team members, ensuring best practices in analysis, reproducibility, and documentation.
  • Communicate results clearly to both technical peers and external industry partners.
Your Profile
  • PhD in Physics, Electrical/Optical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline (exceptional MSc candidates with 6+ years of relevant R&D experience welcome).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience applying data science in experimental or instrumentation-driven environments (semiconductors, photonics, imaging, or sensing).
  • Proven expertise in statistical data analysis, experimental design, and advanced signal processing.
  • Track record of developing and deploying algorithms using version control and reproducible workflows.
  • Hands-on mindset and comfort working closely with hardware in the lab.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • (Nice to have) Background in quantum measurement techniques, advanced microscopy, or semiconductor device physics.
Our Benefits
  • Competitive salary with equity participation
  • 30 days of paid vacation plus public holidays
  • Company-sponsored Well pass membership
  • Annual learning & development budget
  • Regular team events and off sites
