Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed robotics company building the next generation of plug-and-play robots. Their approach to autonomy is designed to transform material handling - from stacking and sorting to unloading - making robots truly adaptable to the demands of modern logistics.

The Role We’re hiring a Field Robotics Engineer who thrives on debugging, stress-testing, and deploying complex robotic systems. In this position, you’ll be the face of our technology at customer sites and industry events, ensuring every system is installed, tested, and continuously improved in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, configure, and validate robots in both lab and production settings.
  • Lead on-site installations: plan, coordinate, and commission systems with smooth handover to customers.
  • Operate and tune perception and motion modules within our autonomy stack.
  • Train operators and provide hands-on support during ramp-up phases, gathering insights that feed directly into the product roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware/software issues, both remotely and on-site.
  • Represent the company in customer demos, pilots, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Capture field data and share lessons learned with engineering teams to improve reliability and unlock new use cases.
What You Bring
  • Solid understanding of mechatronics, sensors, networking, and basic control principles.
  • Experience commissioning complex electromechanical or robotic systems in the field.
  • Strong diagnostic skills for resolving hardware and software challenges.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to ~60%) to production sites and deployments.
  • Bonus: prior robot deployment experience, proficiency in German or other languages, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with Linux environments.
Who You Are
  • Eager to take ownership of projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passionate about robotics across mechanics, electronics, computer vision, and control.
  • A proactive problem-solver with curiosity to learn.
  • A clear communicator, fluent in English (German a strong plus).
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and customers directly on the shop floor.
Why Join
  • Work on impactful problems at the forefront of robotics.
  • Be part of a high-caliber team developing technology with massive potential.
  • See your work directly deployed in real-world production environments.
  • Competitive salary, equity, and top-tier equipment.
  • A role that blends lab work, field deployments, and customer-facing experiences around the globe.
