What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a backend engineer with strong fundamentals and a passion for building scalable, distributed systems. You’ll play a critical role in designing and optimizing infrastructure that supports millions of users, ensuring reliability, speed, and seamless integration across complex pipelines.
- Solid Engineering Foundations
Skilled in building robust services with Python and Golang. Comfortable working on distributed systems and optimizing for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. - Exceptional Learning Ability
In a fast-changing AI-driven environment, you’ll quickly adapt to new tools, frameworks, and methodologies - learning while shipping production-ready solutions. - Technical Focus Areas
- Distributed systems, microservices, and high-performance backend architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Python and Golang.
- Experience deploying and scaling services on cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred).
- Bonus: experience with data-heavy or video-centric pipelines, prompt engineering, or optimizing workflows for efficiency.
- 1–3 years of professional experience post-graduation.
- University of Waterloo background would be highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving pedigree - e.g., hackathon wins, Olympiads, competitive programming, or building products with significant adoption.
