Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead the technical direction of an early-stage AI company. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical depth with the ability to build and scale a world-class engineering culture. You will work closely with the founders to shape product strategy, oversee technical delivery, and define the roadmap that takes the company from prototype to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s long-term technical vision and architecture
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI products and infrastructure
- Manage and grow a small, high-performing engineering and research team
- Oversee end-to-end product development cycles, from ideation to delivery
- Evaluate and implement best practices in model development, MLOps, and data security
- Contribute to product strategy, technical partnerships, and investor discussions
- Maintain a strong understanding of the latest advancements in AI and applied machine learning
- Ensure efficient scaling of systems, pipelines, and infrastructure as the business grows
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role within an AI, ML, or data-driven company
- Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, LLMs, or multimodal systems
- Experience managing small engineering or research teams
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and MLOps tooling
- Track record of taking an AI product from research or prototype stage to production
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
