A fast-growing European technology platform is building an internal AI & Automation function designed to transform how teams operate across the business. As part of this initiative, the company is seeking an Agentic Engineer to design, build, and iterate intelligent AI agents used by real internal teams every day.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on practical AI systems — not experimental prototypes. You will work closely with senior AI leadership and platform engineering teams to deliver production-ready agents that improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and create measurable operational value.

The Role You will focus on what matters most in modern AI systems: building useful agents that people actually adopt.
Working within fast iteration cycles, you’ll design and ship AI agents, continuously improve them based on user feedback, and retire solutions that no longer deliver value. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and product-oriented.
What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and deploy internal AI agents and automation workflows
  • Define agent scope, memory, tool usage, orchestration logic, and user interaction patterns
  • Build and iterate within rapid development cycles, typically 2–4 weeks
  • Work from established AI architecture and reference patterns provided by senior AI leadership
  • Consume internal data and infrastructure services to power agent workflows
  • Maintain and improve an internal catalog of AI agents and automations
  • Collaborate directly with operational teams to gather feedback and improve usability
  • Monitor agent effectiveness, identify failure modes, and optimize performance over time
  • Retire or redesign agents when they no longer provide meaningful business value
Required Experience
  • Approximately 2–4 years of software engineering or AI engineering experience
  • Strong Python development skills
  • Hands-on experience building AI agents and agentic workflows
  • Practical experience with the Claude ecosystem is essential, including:
    • Agent SDKs
    • Claude Code
    • Tool use and orchestration
    • MCP servers
    • Sub-agents
    • Skills and collaborative workflows
  • Experience shipping real working AI tools, products, or side projects
  • Strong understanding of user-centric product thinking and usability
  • Fluent English required
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen
  • Open-source contributions or personal AI projects
  • Startup or fast-paced product development experience
  • German language skills
Ideal Candidate
  • Curious, highly practical, and execution-focused
  • Enjoys shipping quickly and learning from real user feedback
  • Interested in solving human workflow problems — not just model experimentation
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and ownership
  • Strong portfolio or side-project work highly valued, including independently built AI agents
Why Join?
  • Build production AI systems used daily across a real business
  • Work with a modern AI stack and emerging agentic architectures
  • Small, highly autonomous engineering team
  • Fast iteration cycles with visible impact
  • Remote-friendly across DACH / EU
  • Opportunity to grow rapidly within an AI-first transformation environment
